English 101
On a more professional note, this website was made for English 101. This class was devoted to researching one specific topic for the course of the semester. We learned a variety of things from the basics of writing, to developing a sound argument, to conducting research, to forming a claim that implements numerous sources and addresses counter arguments correctly. The topics chosen were supposed to be controversial and modern; generally, within one year of happening or occurring. Therefore, research was expected to be relevant and current. Ultimately, this lead me to decide on immigration's influence on America; which I deemed increasingly relevant in light of the 2016 Presidential Campaigns.
Progression of research
As I said before, I chose to research immigrations effect on America and more specifically, the effect on lower-class United States citizens. However, my topic began as immigrations effect on the economy and evolved into the research it is now. Through the semester, we wrote numerous papers and had to complete an abundance of research. I learned a lot of information involving this topic and understand there is no set and stone way to address it. But, by the end of the semester, we had to come to a conclusion on our topic or further the conversation. That is the goal of this website: To enlighten you all to my findings on the topic and the conclusion I came to. I ask that viewers enjoy themselves and have an open mind whilst viewing my website.
