The Purpose
"Anyone who is in the United States illegally is subject to deportation…Mexico will pay for the wall…If we can save American lives, American jobs and American futures, together we can save America itself." The previous quotes were recorded by CNN Politics author, Eric Bradner, a news coverer of the 2016 presidential election. However, the quotes were voiced by former presidential candidate and now president to be, Donald Trump. That being said, his claims and plans for reforming immigration policies are now a very real possibility. America has the high probability of experiencing a great change in current immigration laws and policies. Many of which, he believes, will save American lives and the country. According to his website, Make America Great Again:

His vision is to prioritize jobs for American people; ensure Americans are offered jobs over immigrants; protect the economic well-being of lawful immigrants; deport criminally charged and illegal immigrants; as well as, build a wall along the border of Mexico and the United States. While a wall along the southern border may seem outrageous, Trump’s assertion that immigration is a problem, is not wrong. Immigration has negatively affected the United States for close to two and half decades and is a growing topic of debate. In fact, Friends or Strangers, written by George Borjas in 1990, discusses the issues revolving around immigration that affected the United States then and under review now, nothing seems to be changing.
